Engineering students generally have very high job placement rates. However, you must put in a little effort getting your resume together and setting up those interviews to find that first job. The Career Resource Center is available to help you with the process. We suggest you stop by the CRC and also surf their web site. It's never too soon to start talking with the CRC staff.

The MAE department encourages students to gain practical experience while in school. Many students work on various research projects, team competitions or other on-campus activities. Other popular mechanism are Co-op, Internship and Externship programs. You may obtain more information on these programs from the Career Resource Center

Co-op and internship students may enroll in EAS/EML 4949 Co-op Work Experience during each co-op term. Up to 3 credit hours of 4949 may be used to satisfy Technical Electives in the degree program. In order to recieve academic credit, students must submit the co-op registration request form to Salena in room 226 MAE-A. You must take care of this prior to the start of your co-op term and may not add this credit retroactively.
