Structural Engineer

W.W. Gay Mechanical Contractor is hiring a Structural Engineer to produce specifications for, develop, and oversee the installation of new or modified components or systems.

Candidate needs to be technically minded and be able to demonstrate a proficiency in numeric and scientific disciplines to solve developmental issues.

Candidate’s duties typically include:

  • assessing project requirements
  • measuring the performance of components, devices and systems
  • creating budgets, time schedules and specifications with clients and managers
  • using computer-aided design/modelling software
  • liaising with suppliers
  • undertaking relevant research
  • producing and implementing designs and test procedures
  • presenting designs to managers and clients
  • testing, evaluating, modifying and re-testing products
  • writing reports and documentation
  • providing technical advice
  • analyzing and interpreting data.
