Wednesday, May 19th 2004
- Two new pages have been added to this site. First we added a webpage
to show TA's who need to setup course webpages how to do this. We also
included a lot of useful links and resources. Next we added a webpage
that provides information about Viruses and Spyware.
Thursday, April 22nd 2004
- Access to the "sysinfo"
website has been changed so that it can only be viewed from computers
located on Campus. This was done to try and restrict the information
we provide to people off Campus.
Thursday, April 2nd, 2004
- The AeMES mail server is being shut down to all local email
accounts. We are switching all our email services over to
Gatorlink. Because of this, on March 15th we will stop NFS mounting
the mail spool filesystem to other computers. More details to come
when they are available.
Friday, August 1st, 2003
- The domain names used by our Department prior to the merger (aero.ufl.edu
and me.ufl.edu) are no longer valid domain names. These domain names
should not be used any longer anywhere in our Department. If you use
them, your computers may not work properly. See
this page for details.

- Web statistics was added to the "sysinfo" homepage.
Tuesday, March 18th, 2003
- A new page has been posted that outlines the use of copyrighted software
when you purchase a single copy from a vendor. It also addresses the
use of programs such as Kazaa, WinMX and other Napster like programs. Click

- Several buildings within our Department have been officially
renamed. We will try to start using the new names. Here are the

Saturday, March 8th, 2003
- The AeMES computer crashed due to the heat
in Aero 330. We are working to get some additional air conditioning in
that room.
Thursday, March 6th, 2003
- The AeMES computer crashed at about 5:00PM due to a hardware
problem. A spare computer was installed with the latest operating
system loaded on it. Everything was back to normal at about 10:00PM
the same evening. No hard drives or data were lost.
Tuesday, February 25, 2003
- Due to some complaints about the network performance between the Aero
Building and NEB, we are now monitoring the network 24 hours a day to try
and isolate the problem.
Sunday, February 23, 2003
- Due to the weekend storms and some problems with the UF network system,
the Aero Building was without network connection for several hours.
Full network and computer functions were restored by 4:00PM on Sunday.
Monday, February 17, 2003
- Track-It! is now completely online for faculty and staff. Track-It!
is a database for reporting problems to the Tech Support Team. The URL
for this is http://www.mae.ufl.edu/support.

- Tech Support web placed on-line. FAQ page has lots of information
related to Tech Support.

- Downloads made available online. We will
try to keep the latest Service Packs and software updates on this page for
you to download. License numbers will not be made available through
this webpage since it is accessible by anyone.
